इंदू मिल स्मारकाच्या उभारणीसाठी सावध पावले: शिवसेनेच्या नेतृत्त्वाखाली महत्वाची बैठक

छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराजांच्या पुतळा भ्रष्टाचारामुळे झालेली दुर्घटना हा एक गंभीर मुद्दा आहे, ज्यामुळे संपूर्ण महाराष्ट्रासह देशभरात सरकारच्या विरोधात जनआंदोलन उसळले आहे. यामुळे जनतेमध्ये रोष वाढला असून विविध संघटनांनी रस्त्यावर उतरण्याचा निर्णय घेतला आहे. या पार्श्वभूमीवर इंदू मिलच्या संरक्षण समितीने सावध भूमिका घेतली आहे.

इंदू मिल येथे भारतरत्न डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकरांचे आंतरराष्ट्रीय स्मारक उभारण्यात येत आहे, पण त्यात होणारा विलंब आणि निधीचा वाढत असलेला खर्च ही गंभीर बाब आहे. समितीच्या बैठकीत या मुद्द्यांवर चर्चा झाली. यामध्ये असे ठरवण्यात आले की, तिथे होणाऱ्या 1500 खुर्च्यांच्या हॉल ऐवजी साडेतीन ते पाच हजार खुर्च्यांचा ऑडिटोरियम असावा. तसेच, वादळामुळे भविष्यात पुतळ्याला कोणतीही हानी होऊ नये म्हणून नवीन तंत्रज्ञानाचा वापर करण्यात यावा.

या बैठकीत शिवसेनेचे नेते, माननीय खासदार अनिल देसाई साहेबांनी तातडीने सोमवारी, दिनांक 2 सप्टेंबर 2024 रोजी, दुपारी 3.30 वाजता, Cr2 कार्यालयात (बॅरिस्टर रजनी पटेल मार्ग, नरिमन पॉइंट) सर्व संबंधित अधिकाऱ्यांची बैठक बोलावली. या बैठकीत एमएमआरडीएचे आयुक्त संजय मुखर्जी साहेब आणि संबंधित अधिकारी उपस्थित होते.

बैठकीत डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर आंतरराष्ट्रीय इंदू मिल संघर्ष समितीच्या शिष्टमंडळाने विविध मुद्द्यांवर चर्चा केली. यामध्ये शिवसेना उद्धव बाळासाहेब ठाकरे संघटनेचे विलास रूपवते, डॉ. आंबेडकरांचे पंतू अक्षय आंबेडकर, कामगार नेते रमेश मा जाधव, दलित सेना नेते रवी गरुड, भीम आर्मी नेते अशोक कांबळे, आरपीआय(A) कार्याध्यक्ष बाळासाहेब पवार, कामगार नेते शैलेंद्र मोहिते, विश्वशांती संस्थेचे अध्यक्ष प्रतीक कांबळे, माजी नगरसेवक अनिल कदम, तसेच इतर मान्यवर उपस्थित होते. या सर्वांनी इंदू मिल स्मारकाच्या बांधकामातील त्रुटींवर आणि सुधारणा करणे आवश्यक असलेल्या मुद्द्यांवर आपले विचार मांडले.

या सर्व चर्चेतून स्पष्ट झाले की, पुतळ्याचे बांधकाम केवळ एक स्मारक म्हणून नाही, तर देशाच्या अस्मितेचे प्रतीक म्हणून उभे राहावे, जेणेकरून भविष्यात कोणत्याही नैसर्गिक आपत्तीचा त्यावर परिणाम होणार नाही. यासाठी आधुनिक तंत्रज्ञानाचा वापर करून, या स्मारकाला अधिक सुरक्षित आणि भव्य बनविण्याचा निर्धार करण्यात आला आहे.

The corruption surrounding the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj statue has led to a significant incident, sparking widespread protests across Maharashtra and even nationwide against the government. This has fueled public anger, with various organizations taking to the streets. In light of this, the Indu Mill Protection Committee has adopted a cautious approach.

At Indu Mill, the construction of an international memorial for Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar is underway. However, the delays and the escalating costs associated with the project have become serious concerns. These issues were discussed in a recent meeting of the committee, where it was decided that instead of the initially planned 1,500-seat hall, a larger auditorium with a capacity of 3,500 to 5,000 seats should be constructed. Additionally, to protect the statue from future damage caused by natural calamities, the committee recommended using advanced technology.

In response to these concerns, Honorable Member of Parliament, Mr. Anil Desai of Shiv Sena, urgently called a meeting on Monday, September 2, 2024, at 3:30 PM at the Cr2 office (Barrister Rajni Patel Marg, Nariman Point) to address the situation. The meeting was attended by MMRDA Commissioner Sanjay Mukherjee and other relevant officials.

During the meeting, the delegation from the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Indu Mill Struggle Committee discussed various issues. The delegation included Vilas Rupwate from Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray, Akshay Ambedkar (grandson of Dr. Ambedkar), labor leader Ramesh Ma Jadhav, Dalit Sena leader Ravi Garud, Bhim Army leader Ashok Kamble, RPI(A) Vice President Balasaheb Pawar, labor leader Shailendra Mohite, World Peace Institute President Pratik Kamble, former councilor Anil Kadam, and other dignitaries. They all shared their views on the shortcomings in the construction of the Indu Mill memorial and the necessary improvements.

The discussions made it clear that the statue's construction should not only serve as a memorial but also stand as a symbol of the nation’s pride, ensuring it remains resilient against any future natural disasters. To achieve this, the committee resolved to employ modern technology, making the memorial more secure and grand.
